However, we know that life can change on a dime, so here are some tips to help when life changes. And remember, the Mom's Creating Healthy Futures Team can help!
The Mom's Creating Healthy Futures Team can help you get on the right track... and/or keep you there! Reach out to us and let's get you enjoying life you've always imagined!
It’s not marriage that makes you happy, it’s a happy marriage that makes you happy. Married people are happier than unmarried ones, perhaps because the single best predictor of human happiness is the quality of social relationships.
Divorce is an extremely difficult life event. During and after the process of divorce, a person who wants to be healthy and whole has to do a lot of uphill work in order to eventually gain life satisfaction and maintain resilience.
Being married before doesn’t automatically ensure your next marriage will be a cakewalk, experiencing the dissolution of a marriage can help you better spot red flags and potential warning signs in your next.
Whether you’re divorced and co-parenting with an ex, never married, or chose to be a single mom, one thing’s for sure: Once you’ve crossed over to single mom status, life will never be the same again.
At some point in our lifetime, we will each experience significant pain and loss, and we think it's easy to feel like we must maintain a good attitude, “stay strong” or put on a brave face.
Just remember...you don't.
Those feelings of sadness and loss–sometimes called empty nest syndrome–still come up now and then.
Believe it or not, eventually you’ll find things to love and appreciate about an empty nest.
